Hope van Dyne, portrayed by Evangeline Lilly, is the MCU's Wasp. Introduced in 2015's Ant-Man, she initially serves as a mentor and trainer to Scott Lang, aiding him in mastering the Ant-Man suit.
Hope is the daughter of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, the original Ant-Man and Wasp. Driven by a desire to honor her mother's legacy and frustrated by her father's protectiveness, she fights for the opportunity to use the Wasp suit, which Hank had developed.
She finally assumes the mantle of the Wasp in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). She has enhanced strength, agility, and the ability to fly. She also possesses Wasp blasters. Her suit allows her to shrink and grow in size, similar to Ant-Man. Wasp partners with Ant-Man in many adventures.
